Wanmirr (eagle hawk)

Notes & things......

Some Quick Bits for Now:

1) Can people with First Aid Certificates who are planning to come to the gathering, who are willing to be available, please reply to this email.

2) Does anyone have a comprehensive first aid kit they would be willing to donate to the gathering, or is there some one who can organise to get one (there is $100 available).

3) Please bring all of your own food and water, and cooking equipment
This year there is no planned communal meal each day; if the gathering community can make a communal meal happen that will be great!!  We will aim for at least one communal meal to be prepared and shared by all.

4)
Food Donnations for Elder's are still greatly appreciated.

5)  Please remember that you are comming to a family gathering, and in this family environment, as is Yorta Yorta tradition, Elders and children are given prority of care.  We respect that these protocols may be different to those you are familar with else where, but while at Yilema you are requested to abide by the local protocols, and the rules of the property (eg no pets, no alcohol, no drugs).

6) There is a plan to make Full Circle times at the Sacred Fire a little more structured this year. This is so everyone has a better idea of when to "gather" around, and so we don't sit for too long in the hot sun.  There will hopefully also be some more themes or special focuses for some sessions (eg Children's time, Eldership, wome's business, men's business)

7) This year there will be a special shady space for children set up.
We are hoping that people might like to volunteer to run activities for children in this space;
some parents need to be present.  It is emphasied, however, that there will be no organised childcare,
and as always parents or guardians are to be fully responsible for their young ones in all areas on the property.

8)
WORKING BEE WEEKEND on  27th and 28th of February at Yilema.
Primarily, the arbour needs some extensive repairs, and Fire wood needs to be collected, and more.........So basic tools and chainsaws would be useful.

9)
Anyone willing to loan a fire pump and hoses to the gathering????!!!!

10) As always funds are needed to make sure that the
gathering can happen; toilets are the most expensive and
necessary items.  This year you will see donation tins for ammenities around the place.

Julie is working on some Photo CD's of the past two
gatherings that will be made available for sale to help raise
funds.  If anyone has images they would like to contribute to these CDs
please send them to
Julie's email: [email protected]

A
silent auction will be held on the
last day of the gathering, and an Op Shop will also be set up so
we ask you to bring along anything suitable for these.

Monetary Donations are of course also welcome,
see new website for how to make these prior to gathering.

Not many sleeps to go, yippe, we will all met again soon by the beautiful Dungala!

See ya there!
